The formula
Annual salary = hourly rate × hours per week × paid weeks per year. At 40 hours and 52 weeks, that's 2,080 hours a year, so $25/hour ≈ $52,000/year. A quick mental shortcut: double the hourly rate and add three zeros.
Annual to hourly
Divide salary by 2,080: $75,000 ÷ 2,080 = $36.06 per hour.
Biweekly vs. semi-monthly
Biweekly pay comes every two weeks (26 paychecks a year); semi-monthly comes twice a month (24 paychecks), so each semi-monthly check is slightly larger.
All figures are gross pay, before taxes and deductions.
